Brain International School ardently believes in assimilating a strong value system, skills along with focusing on the academic excellence of students thus preparing them to succeed in 21st century. It is in recognition of this exemplary effort of our institution, the school is accredited with International Dimension in Schools (IDS) Award 2021.
International Dimension in Schools celebrates schools' efforts to include international work as part of their curriculum and embed it within the school's culture. The programme supports in fostering international ethos among the students by intricately interweaving in the curriculum.
The International School Award now has its presence in 31 countries worldwide. It is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools for having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship among students . It is a three year accreditation focusing on the implementation of international dimension in a school’s curriculum.
BIS proudly received this coveted award consecutively for the third time.

 

 

EXPERIENCE WITH SUNITA WILLIAMS

Shatakshi Rai of class X as a part of an interactive workshop, went to the American Center to meet the NASA Astronaut, Sunita Williams.  Sunita Williams shared her experiences about her expeditions to the International Space Station and Soyuz Spacecraft.

This workshop was very knowledgeable as the students came to know about the situations astronauts have to face and the conditions in which have to live in the space. So, this workshop was a remarkable experience.

 

INTER SCHOOL MODEL UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE :BEST POSITION PAPER ON NARCOTICS

The Inter School MODEL UNITED NATIONS conference session was conducted by Bal Bharati Dwarka School, Dwarka on 30th April,2015 in which four of our students participated as representatives of their allocated countries.The simulation included three committees namely   the League of Arab States, Commonwealth of Nations and Commission on narcotic Drugs.The Delegates invited appreciation for the concrete solutions put forth in the respective committees for the provided agenda.Rabia Piplani of class XII-B of Brain International School represented Japan on the issue of narcotic drugs and won the award for ‘The Best Position’ paper in her committee.

BRAIN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES FIRST VC

Members of Tony Blair’s Face to Faith Foundation Programme participated in the first Video Conferencing with Nofey Golan High School, Israel on 9th February’15.  The video conferencing was based-on the first two modules of Face to Faith. The students shared their hobbies, their routines, their school life, festivals, culture and food. Our partners in the VC were very curious to know about the significance of ‘tilak’ and why we treat cows as sacred animal. The responses from our students were amazing and a great food for thought. Apart from answering their questions, our team of F2F members shared with them the significance and the story behind some of the major Indian festivals like Diwali, Holi, Makar Sankranti and Basant Panchmi.

International School Award by the British Council is a prestigious award that has a worldwide success.  B.I.S. stands privileged among many of the top Delhi schools, as it has accomplished the solemnity and decorum of being commemorated with the International School Award .   This award  has not only provided us with a new perspective of imparting education but has proved to be a catalyst for the growth of the school as a whole.  The school collaborated with various schools in Australia, Spain and UK helping the students in broadening their horizons to study and work abroad and giving them a better outlook of the methodologies adopted to undertake projects and activities of international dimension.  As educators we challenge ourselves to think beyond the usual teaching methodologies and an overall understanding of the education sector improvised manifolds.

 

GLOBAL CITIZENS
We aim at providing a rich blend of multi cultural and traditional values. The need to strike a balance between the two is of utmost importance in today’s ever changing scenario. Values and awareness about important National & International days, festivals etc are imparted through regular and special assemblies.
The major concerns of the world form a part of our education which is age –specific .Children are encouraged to participate in theme events concerning the world. The aim is to reach the masses through our strength - our children !

 

TOWARDS UNIVERSALISM

With an aim to prepare the future citizens towards universalism, BIS has entered into Students Exchange Programme which helps in intercultural exchange. Our aim is to encourage students to speak of  ”World Culture” rather than only “Our Culture”.
